Happy Birthday Halie Hoo
Is she really TWO? I cannot believe how fast time flies! It seems like just yesterday we were finding out that we were having a GIRL... and then bringing her home from the hospital in her little tutu on Halloween... and now our little girl is turning two! Halie was such a great baby! She never cried and was always happy! She is a good little girl and it has been fun to see her personality change! She is a spunky little girl now! She stands up for herself, to her detriment sometimes... a few weeks ago the nursery leader said "she was kind of a bully today!" So we have been practicing being nice to "babies" (anyone her size or smaller!) I feel so lucky to have a daughter and look forward to the fun years we have ahead of us!
At age two Halie:
Still sucks her thumb... oops!
Can count to eleven (believe it or not she can!)
Says "I love it _____" bike... doll... blankie (fill in the blank with whatever she sees)...
Loves to carry around a purse (especially her red one from Ashley)
Loves dolls
Loves her pink silky blankie
Sleeps in her big girl bed all night!
Loves playing with her big brother Micah
Is a daddy's girl
LOVES having her toes painted
Won't take her "pretty pretty's" off (bracelets)
When asked where's Daddy? Halie responds everytime: chuuch (can't say her "r" sound)
When asked where's Micah? Halie responds: peakool (preschool)
Halie is such a good little girl and has added so much joy to our family!
Happy 2nd Birthday Halie! We Love You!
Micah's FIRST KISS?!?
So my little boy is growing up way to fast and this became apparent to me two weeks ago when we were at the park for a little play group.
Micah and Halie were swinging on the swings... minding their own business when two cute little girls came up to Micah and started arguing over who got to push him on the swings.
I thought to myself... 'Micah is cute but why would these little girls want to stand here and push Micah when they have all these toys they could play with?'
Soon Micah and these two little girls were off playing on the playground, we stayed for quite a while and then it was time to go...
So I called to Micah, told him we had two more minutes... then told him it was time to go!
Well as soon as I did one of the little girls... the little blonde one... ran over to Micah and gave him a big hug AND THEN A KISS!... on the NECK!...
I was shocked to say the least. To my knowledge they had just met and now they are kissing... at 4 years old! (Aren't girls suppose to have cooties!)
So we got in the car and I proceeded to tell Micah that he is not aloud to kiss girls and that he is only ALOUD TO KISS HIS MOTHER!!!... He was so embarrassed! He said quietly to me... "I shouldn't have worn this outfit huh mom?:... He always says how handsome he looks when I put a new outfit on... and apparently he thought he looked pretty cute!...
He was embarrassed all day! I made sure to keep reminding him that he was not aloud to kiss anyone. Well after a few hours of me harassing him he finally said... "MOM ITS OKAY IF SHE KISSES ME... SHE'S IN MY PRESCHOOL!"
So this mystery girl at the park was his friend from preschool. No wonder why they became instint friends! They already knew each other! Micah promises me he doesn't kiss her at school because he says "We aren't aloud to hug or kiss at preschool mom" GREAT RULE MISS JULIE!
Anyways I wanted to make sure I had record of Micahs first official kiss! Hopefully I will not be blogging about him kissing anyone else until he is 16!

Fall Festivities...
Busy! Busy! Busy!
Life has been very busy lately... But the good news is ... Everyone in my family is now married! Yeah... and NO MORE WEDDING PLANNING FOR ME! Even Better! (well for a while at least ;) It has been a blast... but I am really excited to start doing all the fun fall stuff I have been trying to find time to do! So I decided that every night this week we are going to do something festive for Fall!
So far...
On Monday night we went to Staheli Farm. It was great! We went to the corn maze... went out to the pumpkin patch... Halie got her Face Painted... and Micah went down the "Corn Slide..."
Tonight is Tuesday and we carved our pumpkins!... or should I say I carved the pumpkins! Micah tried... Halie had ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST in carving anything... all she wanted to do was throw the pumpkins... (our darling 2 year old!) Anyways it was fun and festive and I feel like it is starting to feel like fall!
The rest of the week... well tomorrow Micah has his pre-school Halloween Party! Thursday is Halie's Birthday so we are going to do something fun... And Friday is Halloween/Halie's Birthday Party!!... I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!!
3 Weddings in 4 Months!
Micahs favorite thing about the "WADDINGS"... break dancing!
My poor parents!!... Well we survived!!! Thank goodness! Now on to some cousins for my kids! (Haha)
Well here are some pics from all the weddings! We had a blast! Starting in June with Marc and Janelle getting sealed in the St. George Temple... to Megan and Mike in August in the San Diego Temple... to last week with Micah and Whitney in the Bountiful Temple! It has been one big party from the beggining of summer till the middle of fall!... And don't worry it won't end there... On to Thanksgiving at the Cabin in Duck Creek! This year... with three new members of the family!... I feel lucky to have such great in-laws! My sister in laws are so cute and talented and my brother in law is a stud! We have a blast when we are all together! Welcome to the family everyone! (don't forget the earplugs!)

hApPy BiRtHdAy mOm!
I often find myself wondering... (between cleaning the house, doing laundry, changing Halie's diapers, taking Micah to preschool, and soccer, cooking dinner... etc), I find myself wondering... HOW DID SHE DO THIS?!... AND WITH 5 CHILDREN... AND TEACHING FULL TIME! Mom I don't know how you did it! You are superwomen in my eyes! I can only pray that I do half the job that you did in raising us!!... Happy Birthday Mom!
(This is possibly the sweetest book I have ever read! It is definitely a tear jerker... but darling!)
Mom...
Someday you dreamt…
That we would all grow up and…
That the boys would serve missions
That your daughters would graduate from college
That each of your children would find a wonderful spouse
That we would all get married in the Temple
That one day we could all be in the Temple together
That we would stay strong in the church
That you would become a grandmother
That you would be just like Grandma Rosell
That your kids would be best friends
That we would be your best friend
Someday you dreamt this and now these dreams have come true!
We have all grown up…
Your boys have served faithful missions
Your daughters have graduated from college
We have all found great spouses
We have all been married in the Temple
We were all able to go to the Temple together!!
We all have strong testimonies in the church
You have become a grandmother…
Just like Grandma Rosell!
We are all best friends
And most of all you are our BEST FRIEND!
THANK YOU FOR THAT SOMEDAY… A WHILE AGO… THAT YOU BEGAN DREAMING! THANK YOU FOR PUTTING THOSE DREAMS INTO ACTION, AND FOR THE SACRIFICES YOU HAVE MADE FOR THE 5 OF US! WE LOVE YOU AND WANT TO WISH YOU A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

CRAZY KIDS!
Halie's Terrible Twos Look! She's Ready!
My kids absolutely hate taking pictures... which isn't good... because I love taking pictures! So I have to gear myself up every time I want to take their pictures! I geared up today because we were all feeling well enough to go out (FINALLY)... and I was really excited when my friend Jenny decided to come with me! We had a blast! I am excited to see the shots she got! I am sure better ones than me.. considering my kids thought she was hilarious! Thanks Jenny! It was fun! :)

Awaiting The Rain...
Cool weather... wind... Could it be RAIN? It will be a miracle if it actually happens! We have been ready for cooler weather now for about a month! The forecast shows rain tomorrow... and don't worry my kids are ready! Micah made me buy him a new umbrella... Halie just had to have these boots... (or maybe it was me that had to have them... i can't remember... )
But needless to say, we can't wait!
The Smell of Throw Up... NOT SO GOOD!
What a day... I mean month... or maybe 2 months!
Okay since the end of August someone in our house has been sick! It started with Micah catching some disgusting virus that lasted for 10 days... I got to enjoy taking care of a high fever, constant throwing up, and then the worse came... canker sores all over his mouth! YUCK! He could barely eat... had to miss preschool... and absolutely hated every second of it. Poor little boy!
Oh wait... poor little girl! HALIE got it next.
Then JEFF.
Then ME!
40 days of attack from this awful virus, one right after the other!... Needless to say we all have been slowly feeling better!
So, I woke up yesterday and thought to myself... Yeah! Today is the first day my mouth doesn't hurt!
Well I thought to soon!
Today started out as a normal Friday, preschool, errands, diet coke (my daily sanity), out to lunch with the kids, and then... FOOD POISONING STRUCK! Halie came out of her room covered in ... warning this may become graphic... hot dog chunked throw up! Sorry to be so descriptive ... but one day my kids better thank me for this!! So Halie's throwing up... then Micah says "mom I think I am tired." Anyone that knows Micah knows he is never tired unless he is sick! So I knew it was going to hit him next! AND IT DID!
Needless to say I have done 8 batches of laundry... mopped the floors twice... and I am in the process of pulling out my carpet cleaner. If I can get Micah up off the living room floor and into his bed we will be in business. He keeps popping his head up and asking... "Mom am I better yet?" "No honey, not yet... almost though"
Cause heaven knows we have had our fare share!

mIcAh's FiRsT gOaL!
MICAH'S BIGGEST FAN!!
Micah scored his first goal a few weeks ago... which was great because my whole family was there!! He did awesome! He is playing 100% better than last year... which I guess isn't saying much since he didn't play at all last year... but he is doing awesome this year!... He plays most the game... every game... he is in kicking the ball... and kicks pretty good I must say!... He is having a blast... and before we go to every game he says... "I want to make 4 goals... cause I am four!" What a fun time of life right now! I am trying to enjoy every cute moment with my kids... they grow so fast

A Breakthrough...
Today as we were watching conference.. or atleast attempting with the kids... Micah said the cutest thing!
Ever since President Hinkley died at the beginning of the year Micah has had the hardest time coming to the realization that we have a new prophet President Monson. In fact at the last conference I remember Micah saying "President Hickley is still my prophet not President Monson!"... We tried to get him to like our new prophet, we even took Pres. Hinkleys picture down and put a new one of Pres. Monson up to see if it would ease Micah into our new prophet!
Well today we had a breakthrough. As President Monson got up to speak Jeff said there is our new Prophet Thomas S. Monson! ... and Micah watched intently... and after a few minutes he said... "MOM... I THINK I LIKE OUR NEW PROPHET!" It was so cute and sweet... he then explained to us "CAUSE GORDON B. HINK-OLY DIED AND SO THOMAS S. MONSON IS OUR NEW PROPHET AND WHEN HE DIES WE WILL GET ANOTHER NEW PROPHET... THAT'S JUST HOW IT WORKS MOM!"
Yesterday as Micah talked on the phone to my mom I heard them discussing why dad and grandpa were both at a meeting (preisthood session) She then explained that when Micah turns 12 that he will hold the preisthood and be able to go to the priesthood meeting with his dad and then on Sundays he will be able to pass the sacrament... in which he replied... "I HAVE BEEN WAITING MY WHOLE LIFE TO PASS THE SACRAMENT GRANDMA!"
I am grateful for a little boy who loves the gospel already. He absolutley loves primary... LOVES learning all the new primary songs, and enjoys going to church every week. I look forward to the day that he can pass the sacrament to our family at church. He is such a good boy, I love you Micah!
