SAD IT IS OVER!! Christmas 09'

If you ask Halie what she got for Christmas she will say a Barbie Bike even though she hasn't even ridden it! She really loves her Bitty Baby, that she named "Bitty." She cracks me up... she told Micah on Christmas Day to not touch her toys because she got them for her birthday! She might be a little confused! Micah loves his dune buggy and train set... in fact the train set kept him occupied all day Christmas!
Christmas Eve is my favorite day of the year by far! I love going to my Grandma Rosell's House {when we are in Cali for Christmas} eating yummy food... getting in our Christmas Pajamas... having our little program where each family gets up and does a little talent... and then the kids act out the nativity! I love driving home and listening to Christmas Music on the radio, and then having our Stocking march, writing our letter to Santa, and having hot Chocolate before bed! It is even more fun with kids! The night we got to Cali we went to the Mission Inn to look at the lights and see Santa... oh and eat Donuts {which I am still craving!} We walked around looking at the lights and saw a little band playing! So we stopped to listen... next thing I know Halie is up front shaking her booty back and forth dancing and singing to Jingle Bells! Megan got it on video and it was hilarious! I got a few pix of it but it was the funniest thing of the night! Thanks mom and dad for a fun night!
My cute family, Sunday before going home. We all went to my parents ward!

I cannot get over being sad that Christmas is over this year! Maybe it's because I had strep throat the whole time we were in Cali, or maybe we just had so much fun this season I just don't want it to be over... maybe because my kids are at such a fun age that I don't want their excitement for Christmas to ever end! Either way I didn't want to take down my decorations {good thing my sister made me.. thanks for your help meg!}, I don't want to stop listening to Christmas music {Jeff wants to die every time he gets in the car with me!} and... I still want to party, bake and shop like it is still Christmas! I am sure I will get over it soon... but until then my center piece on my kitchen table will remain a Merry Christmas sign!! :)

Here are the way to many pictures of our week in Cali. Unfortunately I woke up Christmas morning so sick it was all I could do to lay on the couch and snap a few pics... so sorry they are not to great!

Micah and Halie had a great time opening their presents, playing with their new cousin Ruthie and all their aunts and uncles! It was fun and really loud at my parents house this year but very exciting as well! What a fun time of year!

Still Laughing!

So last night Halie wet the bed. She has never done this so she came running in our room crying telling us her underwear and pants were all wet, in which I replied, Halie it's ok, it was JUST AN ACCIDENT, don't cry, it will be ok... it was just AN ACCIDENT...

So we changed her into new pajamas, then Micah comes walking into the room... they both climbed into our bed and I hear Halie whisper to Micah:

"MICAH I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT.... AND MY UNDERWEAR GOT ALL WET!"

I am still laughing!

HO HO HO MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Seeing Santa this year was not as traumatizing as in years past! They both sat on his lap... told him what they wanted {Halie a bike... and Micah a Dune Buggy} He thinks he can fit the bike and he wasn't to sure about the dune buggy... but maybe if Micah is really good! HAHA! Santa told the kids they have to keep their rooms clean if they want their presents! {THANK YOU SANTA!} After we saw Santa at the mall we went home and had a few neighbors over for some hot chocolate and goodies! What a fun night!

OUR CHRISTMAS CARD 09'!

Hope you all received one! I ordered 50 and ran out! So here it is for those of you who have not seen it! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

LIGHT PARADE!

Washington City has a tree lighting thing every year... where they light the big tree in the middle of the park... have hot chocolate and cookies and then have a parade where anyone who wants to can decorate their bikes, scooters etc. with lights and ride around the big sidewalk around the park! It was chilly... crowded and a little crazy but Micah had fun!

POLAR EXPRESS 09'

A new family tradition for sure! I will be taking my kids to the Polar Express until they are to big and won't let me dress them up in cute little jammies and beanies anymore!
{I hope that day never comes!}
All bundled ready to ride the Polar Express!
The cute little elves named Tinkerbell {Halie was so excited} and Harmony!
They wanted Halie to dance with them... Little did we know Mike scared Halie and told her that they were going to take her to the North Pole!

Micah just looking cute! Doesn't he look handsome with hair!
Halie glued to the window looking for the North Pole!
There is the NORTH POLE! She was so excited I couldn't take the picture quick enough!
It was so festive... we sang all the classic Christmas Songs!
Reading the book Polar Express... Micah was concentrating on staying on the right page!

We even met Mrs. Claus and she gave us her recipe to her yummy chocolate chip cookies that the elves passed out!
Cousins with Mrs. Claus... isn't Ruthie so cute!

AND FINALLY SANTA CLIMBED ON BOARD! He stopped and talked to each child and gave them a shinny silver bell! Micah was excited because he, Halie and Ruthie were the first to see Santa!
... and he got the first gift of Christmas... a BELL!

Worn out from the festivities!
This was worth every penny spent!
Oh boy.. the whole fam! We are not use to the cold... all bundled!
The conductor punching everyones tickets.. Halie was a little impatient...
had to go get hers punched before Micah!
Typical Halie!^

My cute sister and fam! We had so much fun!

THIS WAS SERIOUSLY THE FUNNEST THING WE HAVE DONE THIS SEASON! I don't know if it was the yummy Olive Garden, the shopping in Park City, or the Polar Express but it was the best day! I am glad we were able to go with my sister! We had a blast and even my husband who isn't in to the whole festive thing said that we definitely need to make this a tradition!
