This was a forward I got!... BUT IT IS TOTALLY ABOUT ME!

C. A. A. D. D.

Recently, I was diagnosed with C. A. A. D. D. - Child Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.

This is how it manifests:

I decide to do the laundry. As I start toward thelaundry room, I notice that there are cheerios allover the floor and my car keys are in the cereal bowl.I decide topick up the cheerios before I do thelaundry. I lay my car keys down on the counter, put the cheerios in the trash can under the counter, and notice that the trash can is full.

So, I decide totake out the trash. But then I think, since I'm goingto be near the mailbox when I take out the trash I mayas well pay the bills first. I take my checkbook off the table, and see that there is only one check left, my extra checks are in my desk in the office/playroom, so I go to my desk where I find a sippy cup full ofjuice.I'm going to look for my checks, but first I decide I should put sippy cup in the refrigerator to keep itcold. As I head toward the kitchen with the sippy cup,a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye--theyneed to be watered. I set the sippy cup on the counter, and I discover baby wipes that I've been searching for all morning. I decide I better put them back in the bathroom, but first I'm going to water the flowers. I set the wipes back down, fill a container with waterand suddenly I spot the TV remote, one of the kidsleft it on the kitchen table. I realize that when they go to watch TV, I will be looking for the remote asthey fight over who lost it, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it backin the den where it belongs, but first I'll water theflowers.I splash some water on the flowers, but most of it spills on the floor.

So, I set the remote back down, get some paper towels and wipe up the spill. Then I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do. At the end of the day: the laundry isn't washed, thebills aren't paid, there is a warm cup of juicesitting on the counter, the flowers aren't watered, there is still only one check in my checkbook, I can't find the remote, I can't find the wipes, and I don' t remember what I did with the car keys. Then when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busyall day long, and I'm really tired. I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try toget some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail... Don't laugh-- if this isn't you yet, your day is coming.

THANKS AMBER! This gave me a good laugh!

You're Looking at the First Place Winner...

...OF THE PINE WOOD DERBY!
{I forgot my camera... but my friend had hers! Thanks for the pix!}

Yes... Micah's car is the red block of wood... not shaped like a car...
he wanted to just leave it how it came ... so we did!
No one would have placed a bet that Micah would have one... with his block... I mean car!...
Even I had my doubts... But Jeff was convinced Micah had the winning car...
And he did...
Race after race... he kept winning!
EVERYONE WAS SHOCKED! THEY ALL STARTED LAUGHING AS HE KEPT WINNING!

Here is his award for Fastest Car!... PS. Our ward does not have enough scouts so they invited the Elders Quorum to participate, hence the reason it says Old Guy Car...
Jeff let Micah race in his spot!

Oh boy... I don't know how old they are when they start scouts... but Micah is ready!...
He had a blast!

Oh The Joys of POTTY TRAINING!

"I DO IT.. I DO IT! ... I DO IT!" Halie's favorite thing to say latley... Fine... try to put your underwear on by yourself:)

She is a very determined little girlSo happy about getting a Nem..(mnm's) She is easy to bribe!
Proud that she got her "unda-mare" on all by herself!

(P.S. Her stitches are out.. it is looking...well better I guess ... but she wants a "barbie bandaid" on all the time! I think she is scared of her cut.... she doesn't want to see it!)

Potty Training

Day 1- No success...(due to the fact I forgot I was potty training her and never put her on the toilet.... bad mother I know... ) I wanted to quit after her first accident
"Do I really have to do this... YUCK"
Day 2- Starting to figure it out... Hmmmm... You sit them on the toilet and they might begin to understand the whole concept! (I know I am bright!)
Day 3- Doing Good... "NEMS" MNMs' are working like a charm... A little bribing always works!
Day 4- Really GOOD...Stayed dry while we went to the library, and a few stores! YEAH! I think that is like a record on day 4! (I think I can do this!... Oh...and I think Halie can too!)

So now that she has gotten the hang of it... I haven't made as big of a deal when she wets on the toilet... so earlier today she went to the bathroom.. I told her to wipe... and went to take her off the toilet and she said... "Mom-hip hooray... clap mommy clap" She is so funny! We have made the biggest deal when she goes to the bathroom.... me and Micah shout "hip-hip-hooray...hip-hip-hooray" and apparently we will be doing it for a while:)
