THIS GIRL!

Halie had been telling me all month about these feathers and how she kept earning them, and that at the end of the month they were going to count the feathers and how she was going to win because she was being so good and listening and being nice.  And she didn't disappoint.  This girl is soaking everything up in kindergarten and loving every second of it!  Here she is with what I thought was the turkey/feathers in the first pic.. but really it was the hat with 14 feathers that won her that shinny new blue jump rope!  I got to go visit with her teacher this week and her teacher said "In my 6 years of teaching I have never had a student ask such a good questions and how wonderful and nice Halie is to everyone.  And how she always stays on task and is a good listener and how she has excelled in every area since the beginning of the year!  I am so proud of this pretty & SMART girl!  Good Job Halie!  Keep it uP!

JUBILEE OF TREES

The Jubilee came early this year so the Holiday's got started off with a BANG!
 Jeff was out of town so we headed to the Dixie Center with Uncle Matt and Aunt Becky!  We ate yummy Navajo tacos, looked at all the pretty trees, ran into several friends and played in the kids land!  It was a blast!

Doing a little craft in the kids land

Halie was loving every minute of it!

She insisted on carrying her own purse... growing up I tell ya!

Micah is still so young at heart even though he's 8 1/2 and I'll enjoy every minute of it!

The day before the day before...

Life is pretty much crazy around here.  So when your husband goes out of town it throws everything into choas.  Throw packing, shopping and baking for Thanksgiving on top of that and it's literally a miracle that my kids are still alive!  Ha!

It was a small miracle that Halie made it to Hip Hop the night before the night before...

So when we end up at target to buy sleds at 8 pm this is what happens.  So glad we ran into Halie's kindergarten teacher.  Parenting at it's best!

Missing our Summer Days...

Uploading pictures tonight and stumbled upon this!  Makes me miss carefree summer days!
I love this pic!!!  It's so BROCK!

Primary Program 2012

{Sept 9}
Finally after 5 years of Primary Programs we have had a successful one!  My kids aren't the most eager to get up in front of people.  In fact it terrifies them.  Micah cried and ran off the stage his first two years.  Didn't say his part the next year and has slowly worked his way into talking into that big scary microphone.  Halie has followed in his footsteps, doing a bit better, but last year she got up to do her part and the Primary president whispered her part to her and she just shook her head "no"  and refused to do it!  So with that history we were a bit worried.  Would they stay on the stage?  Would they do their parts?  Well Micah had mentioned playing the piano, but then told us the day before that they didn't really want him to. So when I was sitting in the pew with Brock and hear the sounds of "When I am Baptized" being played I was BEYOND SHOCKED to look up and see Micah playing, by memory the song he had learned from his baptism!  He hadn't practiced for weeks... didn't even have the music with him.  He got up IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE CONGREGATION AND PLAYED BY MEMORY THE SONG.. 2 VERSES!

I KNOW I MIGHT BURN... BUT I HAD TO TAKE A PICTURE SO I CAN LOOK BACK AND REALLY BELIEVE IT HAPPENED!  The funny part is you can see Halie talking to her teacher... probably telling her that Micah wasn't suppose to be playing!

Trying to snatch a picture before church!

THis is what typically happens...

THey know now.. just smile and get it over with... Brock not so much!

"I LOVE LUCEE"

{Catching up on the old blog}
Brock loves Lucee... and Lucee loves Brock
 Especially when Micah and Whitney go out of town, leave Lucee at Uncle Matts and Brock shares his cookies with her!  This was cracking us all up!  TOO CUTE!

Saturday Mornings...

Saturday mornings are the results of our Friday night slumber parties.  Which means mattresses in the family room, left over popcorn, red box movie being replayed by kids while I try to sneak in a few more minutes of sleep while Jeff works out and picks us all up donuts on his way home.  It made everything better for Brock this particular morning.  Love our weekends!
