Max and Ruby (The Cartoon)

Micah turned on the cartoon Max and Ruby after church today.  The sounds and voices on that show bring back so many memories of Micah and Halie when they were little-er.  Micah would watch that show endlessly. Every holiday episode we owned/ still own.  As I sit here and listen to the sounds the thought of wanting them to be little came rushing to my head.  I always think "Oh I wish they were still little."  But then I thought what if they really were that little still.  Everyday we had nothing we had to do, we'd go to play group, and the library and had naps.  And it was great.  But even though I miss those days, it sure would be a boring life if things never changed.

I've been really trying lately to enjoy the stages that my kids are in.  Micah and Halie are old enough to really carry on a conversation with.  They love to tell me everything.  And sometimes their endless talking gets wearing... but then I remind myself that one day they won't want to tell me everything.  So when they start talking to me I try to stop what I'm doing and look at them while they tell me their very important things.  If you've ever listened to Micah tell a story it's pretty entertaining and very detailed.  I love this about my kids!  I also love that Micah wanted to buy the game of Life last week.  I agreed because I thought it would be a fun family thing to do.  So we bought it and it has been the funnest game/ family time we have had.  We try to sneak a game in every night after Brock has gone to bed and before the big kids go to bed.  It's been fun to see their personalities come out and to laugh and just have fun!  Halie is concerned only about landing on the space that says twins or baby, Micah wants to do every investment possible!  It's been so fun!

Brock has been dealt the best hand in the family so far.  He is getting away with murder around here!  I think because we have Micah and Halie that are so much older we have realized that the small things they do at age 1 isn't in the least bit stuff to stress about.  This week alone, he has eaten toilet paper out of a urine filled toilet, learned to drag the dining room chair over to the refridgerator to play in the water dispenser.  He's eaten more dirt than food, skinned both his knees, bonked his head, thrown dinner all over the floor every night, cut 2 teeth, had blacker feet than asphalt, decided he doesnt like his high chair anymore and wants to sit in a big chair, hit a boy at church... And somehow we just look at him and smile and laugh!

All these fun stages make me smile this week.  I am glad I am a mom and I am glad I have 3 kids just the way they are!  Wild, crazy, loud, and sweet!

:: STAR OF THE MONTH ::

I was so proud when the kids came running to the car to tell me that Halie's name had been announced over the intercom and she had been awarded Student of the month for Friendhsip and Peacemaking.  Each month Little Valley picks a character trait and the focus on it, the teacher chooses a student that exemplifies these traits.  Halie we are proud of you!  Keep up the good work!

She was pretty excited!

Never a dull moment with this "Peacemaker"  ha!

::SCHOOL TIME::

I pretty much drive all day everyday to tote these kids to and from school at Little Valley.  Our House can't be built fast ENOUGH!  But they love the school so I will continue to drive them because it makes them happy!  My favorite time of day is when I pick them up and they come walking together to the car!  It makes all the gas and all the miles worth it!  :)

::Quick Trip to Cali::

My sister and I made a quick trip to Cali to help my mom set up her classroom.  She is teaching a preschool class so that she can retire at the end of the year (She's liking it so much that Im afraid she'll work one more year!)  But I am glad we went, it was fun and her classroom turned out so cute!

Behind her desk

It was a blank slate... We should have taken a before pic!

We visited Granny Rosell.  She is my favorite person! She is so cute!  I loved talking to her about my Grandpa.   She is the best!

These were in the books at my grandmas house.   I must say Brock looks like me!

::Aladin at Tuachan::

We had such a fun time taking the kids to see Aladin this year at Tuachan and are already looking forward to Mary Poppins next year!

Heading into the play... Of course with the baby doll and diaper bag.

Getting ready for the show...  stocked up on treats!

The favorite part of the show was when we got to wear the 3d glasses!

The show was awesome!  They always are!  It is so fun to see our kids so excited!  They loved the magic carpet ride that came right over the top of us!  It was amazing!  Fun Summer Night!

Halie was in heaven... painting anything she could find!

Not lying... she painted ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!

It was fun making a gift for my sister, sister in laws and cousins!

It was even more fun spending a fun evening with my best friend.  She is getting so grown up.  We had good conversations and enjoyed our girl time!
