Quick trip to Vegas

Jeff had to go to a training in Vegas, so last minute (literally) I decided to go!  I picked the kids up from school early and we hoped in the car with jeff and headed down!  It was so fun to see Micah and Whitney and all their new things!  They just got a new car, a new babies room, decked to the hilt, and Micah just got and interview to NA (?) school!  So excited for them!

It was a fun quick trip!  Wish they lived closer, but glad they live close enough for a day trip!

Football game!

We went to the pine view/Desert hills football game on Friday night and had so much fun with Matt and Becky!  The kids were being so cute I had to take some pics!

Halie watched the cheerleaders with great intent!  Here she was showing Brock them.  They stood like this for 5 minutes.  Brock loves halie!

Brock got this firehouse for his birthday 6 months ago and it's been in the garage ever since!  We finally organized the garage this weekend and decided to put this sucker together and I can't believe we've waited this long!! Brock was in HEAVEN!  Each piece we got out was like Christmas morning!  The motorcycle being his favorite!  He grabbed it from me and started "vrooming" it all over the floor!  Micah and jeff worked hard putting the 28 piece thing together!  Jeff always loves to do that ;). Micah said "I'm sure you're glad to have a son right now to help you huh dad". Micah is such a huge help lately!

They would have played for hours!

Brock kept pretending to sit on the toilet to go the the bathroom, then he'd tell me "ill flush toilet mom" and he'd pretend to flush it!  It reminded me when Micah was little at my parents and tried to sit on a doll house chair!  He'd sit this little chair down, the keep backing up to sit down and was so mad he didn't fit!

This firehouse is going to be so fun!

Nursery

This boy right here has made milestones in nursery the last couple weeks!  He has gone from crying every week and wearing a diaper to going in happily,(actually reached for the teacher this week!). AND is fully potty trained and wears underwear to church with no accidents!! He is getting big and I'm not sure i like it, but it's nice to not being changing diapers!  I peeked in to nursery today and saw him climb up on the chair to get ready for singing time.  He looked so big!

This is the funnest age!! I just want to SQUEEZE HIM!  

He has started talking a lot lately too!  I asked him if he went to the bathroom @ nursery and he said "yes... daddy do it" Jeff had gone in and taken him.  

He asks for a "nana" atleast twice a day ... Favorite fruit by far!

If someone is mean he used to say "Micah mean," now he says "Micah, be nice while crying"

He wants to FaceTime someone all the time and says "face timing" and hands me the phone.

He's a pro @ the I pad and I phone, he loves temple run, editing pictures, and scrolling through the camera roll.  When he finds a picture of himself which is almost every picture he'll show anyone near the phone and say things like "Brock-e funny" or just shove the phone in your face till you make a comment!

Brock has a girlfriend at target who gives him free popcorn every time we go!  She's probably 60 and he makes her day!  We walk in and he says "popcorn.. Friend here". So we have to check!  She's adorable!

He insists Micah reads him a bedtime story but if Micah can't, he'll let me or jeff.  He repeats every word in the book as you read it.

He stands on the front steps every morning and waves good bye to the kids till they are all the way out of sight and THEN says, "bye Micah, bye halie, see ya later". 

He loves motorcycles and trucks and just started playing with them where he pushes them along the floor and makes action sounds!

He watches leap frog in the car and knows the letter A.  If you ask him what A says he opens his mouth really wide and peeps out the sound "aaa". 

He mixes up his sounds for animals but will say meow and moo till he gets it right.  The other day he saw a horse and I asked him what does the horsey say and he said "gitty up". Pretty cute!

Jeff and I look at him daily and are eating up this stage!  He cracks us up!  It's so fun watching him learn and grow!

They're ready!

Potty training is never fun but this boy has been ready for a while... I just wasn't!  But I forced myself last week to start the dreaded task and surprisingly it has been way easier than I planned!  He's only had a few accidents, and is even telling us when he needs to go to the bathroom!  Check that off the list!

Micah & His Alarm

Since school started we thought

Micah was ready to wake up to an alarm.. Why didn't we think of this years ago?!  Anyways, he's been loving his new responsibility and feels all mature now!  Lately he's been setting his alarm extra early so that he can shoot some hoops with Jeff before school!  I snuck out to take pics and then it became a family affair.. They said we were ruining their man time!  They'll be happy later:)

This week...

Sometimes weeks fly by uneventful but I'm glad we live in a time with so much technology. Ill snap random pictures, and sometimes lay in bed and look back at the pictures I took from the week and remember something sweet, or funny, that happened that week!  This week..

My kids and a handful

Of neighbor kids to McDonald's for their back to school free breakfast! The kids heard some "teenagers" saying "bad words".., I had to put the teenagers in their place and tell them to watch their mouths!  The kids thought I was the coolest and they promised that they "would never ever ever say bad words!"

Lesson learned!!

Brock and I went to the library with the cousins!  He made this dog headband and proceeded to crawl on the floor and bark!

Look at the front of the crowd.  Micah is in bright blue and halie's in her floral backpack... THE FIRST DAY she didn't make me walk her all the way in!  Micah was a good brother and made sure he didn't leave her side till the bell rang!

Megan stopped on her way to California! Ruthie walked halie to school!  Her teacher said "oh another bow girl". Yes we wear big bows!  Ha:). We had a fun little party for Ruthies birthday.. Then they were on their way!  Always fun when they come!  We might have done a little shopping too ;)

Halie won this "big" candy bar for being one of the best singers @ the primary program practice!  Way to go Halie!

So nice to have some extra hands around to help put things together!  Brock wanted to do whatever Micah was doing!

Sometimes at night ill get a text from a sibling.. And it turns into a 2 hour text fest!  It's so fun! I have the best brothers and sister!

Jeff gave up hope on me ever finding couches and begged to bring in the lounge chair to watch the game.  I've got him trained... Atleast he put down a blanket!? I came home from searching for couches to Matt and jeff and this set up! Ha:). Ps.  Where is the comfy and cute sectional?  They are either the ugliest thing you've ever seen but you never want to get off them or, adorable and so stiff you can't wait to get up!  

And we ended our week with a slumber party!

Primary Program & Brock

Today was our first primary program in our new ward.  The kids did awesome, and no one realized the triumphs they have made since they were little.  Last year they did great too, but the whole ward seemed to come up and tell us "wow, your kids did great!" Because they remembered Micah running off the stage crying two years straight and Halie shaking her head no when she got up to do her part as a sunbeam! This ward doesn't know us like that.. Which is nice in some ways, and in others we are still trying to find where we fit in here!

We HAVE THE BEST primary chorister ever!  For every song the kids sang and got an A on, she promised she would stick a huge marshmallow in her mouth and sing once there was a snowman!  Every week she has amazing fun attention getting activities! She must work all week preparing!  She makes primary so fun!

Brock was so sweet when the kids picked him up from nursery!  He was prouder than punch that he made this book!  He would look at us, give this embarrassed ^ kind of smile, and then shove the book in each of our faces waiting for applause!  It was the sweetest thing ever!  He had another fabulous week!  I'm so proud!

Tylee and taycee came with us to church because their parents were out of town and they didn't want to miss the program!  5 kids to get ready by 8:45 was quite the task:)

We got up early.. Grabbed some donuts and had a blast... Well some of us...

Halie pretended like it was so boring it put her to sleep.. So she could get home to play with friends ... But this woke her up... Jeff let her drive!

^ and this woke us all up... SHE almost tipped the razor! Luckily we all survived... except for my 44 oz diet coke! (Jeff said I'm on probation)

^ Micah does a pretty good job driving, he is always in charge of pulling the razor onto the trailer and he does a pretty good job.

We went down some pretty steep hills!  It was an awesome morning!  We had a blast!  Enjoying these fun moments with my fam!
