Fun Weekend in Murray!

{Cousins!}
{Cousin Kiley and Halie}
I just love their eyes!
Halie just loved Great Grandma Yates.
She wanted to sit with her the whole time! It was so sweet!
Jeff with his cousins and the great grandchildren

A picture with me in it! I am present at all events... just usually behind the camera!
Grandma of the year pulling all three grandkids in the good old wagon!
Two little Monkeys jumping on Grandma/pa's bed!
Jeff enjoying a little treat! Icecream bowls.. YUMMY!
and Grandpa being silly!
The girls might have snuck away and gotten pedicures! It felt fabulous! Thanks Rhea!

This past weekend we were able to go to Salt Lake to celebrate Jeff's grandma's 80th birthday! It was so much fun because Chris, Katey and Kiley were able to come and we don't get to see them often! The kids loved playing with their cousin Kiley, and we enjoyed visiting and being able to see the extended family as well!

Sadly, Katey's mom has been sick for a while now with cancer and passed away today. There are no words I can say that will ease the loss that she and her family are feeling at this time.
I continue to pray for her family that they will find the peace and comfort they need at this time.
It really puts life in perspective and makes you realize how precious our time on this earth is!

Basketball 2010' {Micah}

Lastnight was Micah's final game! He has had a lot of fun playing basketball this season! This was his team! He played on a K-2 league so being the youngest he did pretty good. He needs to be a little bit more aggressive but we were just proud that he got out there and played and enjoyed it!
He's got some hops folks! {Warming up with dad}
{Thanks for posing}
When he didn't know what to do... or got bored he would play with his shorts..
like he is here... it was hilarious!

The last game... he had the ball... it got stolen but he was THRILLED that he actually got the ball in a real game! I wish I got the picture of him running toward us with the biggest smile on his face like he had just made the winning point... nope just got to dribble the ball... that's all he wanted to get the ball in a real game!! SO CUTE!
I love this age!

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is about as good as it's gonna get of the two of them together... a picture taken after church... Micah not really wanting to take a picture {wow surprise} but..
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! WE LOVE YOU!
Halie was a lot more cooperative... Micah ran out of the room... so even though I love them both the same... here are pictures mostly of Halie!

I was feeling crafty last week and decided to make Halie this little owl doll! She was so excited this morning to take it to church!
Halie showing off for the camera... she wants me to take her picture when she is doing a trick and then she runs over to the camera to see it... like its a video or something! She is a silly girl!
Happy Valentine's day! I love you Jeff, Micah and Halie!

So maybe we AREN'T SNOW PEOPLE!

We tried to like the SNOW... we DID... but my kids have California blood in them and it's just not going to happen! So we go there {Pine Valley} and we were bundled... in the warmest clothes we could find... but we really like to wear flip flops instead!
And we smiled for the picture... and....
Micah went down the little hill a few times....
And I even went down... I know surprise!
...and Jeff talked Micah in to going down a bigger hill...
And then it started getting cold....
And it was wet...
And then ten minutes into our snow adventure
Jeff had to carry CRYING Halie to the car...
...and we took our wet clothes off and ate our lunch in the car on the way home!

Sad but true... our day in the snow was a mere 2 hour trip and that is only because of the car ride! Haha! I had to break the news to Jeff that it is the California in them!

Half Marathon! GO JEFF!!!

{I almost forgot this picture... This was in the newspaper/online newspaper!} Jeff was a little embarrassed that he was behind two girls! :)}

We don't do mornings.... so trying to get up for the marathon was quite the chore! Haha! This was Halie and Micah in our bed with Micah's Christmas pillow that he can't part with the morning of the marathon! How do they sleep like this who knows... poor Halie! I thought it was so cute!
Cheering for Jeff... the best part was we didn't have to get out of the heated car! Thank goodness!! I teased Jeff that we were going to make embarrassing signs and make a huge scene... so Micah decided to make a sign that said go BIG PAPA! It was cute in his little hand writing! Thanks Tennille and Cooper for joining in on the fun!
There is Jeff in the gray shirt and black shorts waving!! This was the beginning of the race! We were honking and making a scene! It was so much fun!

And here he comes after several miles! this was an up hill climb... this is where I would have quit... (Who am I kidding.. I would have quit at the starting line! )
Halie and Micah waiting for Jeff to come across the finish.
The best it gets lately for a family picture! I really need to get some done!

What a fun day! I was so proud of Jeff!
The training is so much work and takes a lot of dedication!
Good job hun! I love you!

January 10'

Usually January's for us are boring... ok maybe even a little depressing... for many I assume. Christmas is over, it is still cold outside... nothing really great to look forward to...

This January has been a bit different. We have been busy every second! So I will recap what has been going on...

Micah Started basketball and likes it waaaaay more than soccer.
He was laying in bed the other night and called me in and told me he wants to have a basketball birthday party
with a basketball cake and a basketball hoop on it! (yes with a lisp)
{To many episodes of Cake Boss! I better call my friend Elsha! ha ha!}
Surprise surprise... he was NERVOUS! I had to rotate to each station with him... you can tell he is nervous because his hands are in his pockets! OH BOY!
Jeff will be running a half marathon on Saturday.. I am so proud of him! I feel bad because I would rather die {ok maybe not die but close to it} than run!
But he loves it and I am excited to cheer him on!

Halie is busy everyday taking care of her babies! Every chance she gets she lays her babies out (on a pillow.. doesn't matter where she has to get the pillow) covers them up with blanket, towels, rags.. doesn't matter! She will be a good little mother one day! This was her babies today... Oh Boy!
SHE NEEDS A BABY..... which..... brings me to my last update....

I haven't really said anything about this on my blog, but was happy with the good news we received and want to share!

After being on fertility medicine, having shots, ultrasounds, procedure after procedure... this after that... for the last 16 months we decided that it was time to have surgery to look for the last possible thing that could be wrong and the reason why I have not been able to get pregnant.

So ... last FRIDAY I went in for SURGERY {not fun at all} wanted to back out the whole time... and almost did! {Good thing my entire family came and I couldn't back out!} I AM SO GLAD I WENT THROUGH WITH IT. They found endometriosis which is a major cause for infertility. They were able to burn it off, and we are praying and hoping that in the next few months we will receive some good news from a little stick!

Micah wants a brother... Halie wants a baby she can name "Sister"... We were loosing hope for a while but we are hopeful once again!

OH by the way I also decided that it was time to take a long break from photography.. ok maybe quit. I am hoping if this really is the time to get pregnant then I need to de stress my life... and boy does it feel good! I have mixed feelings but overall am happy about my decision!

HALIE IS A SUNBEAM!

I cannot believe Halie is old enough to be in PRIMARY! She is a SUNBEAM! Micah reassured her all morning that it would be ok... and that there would be no dolls like in nursery... but that it is still fun! I don't think she really needed to be reassured she is a pretty independent little girl... but I think it made Micah feel better about the situation! {he gets a bit nervous about this kind of stuff!} It is fun to listen to them! I am proud of little Halie!
