He's not old enough...

TO HAVE A REAL SCHOOL PICTURE! He looks so grown up I can't handle it!

And I love that he is trying so hard to smile! It cracks me up!

Micah has already been learning so much! He loves school, loves his teacher, and has alot of friends! I love that when I go to pick him up he comes running out of the gate to hug me and then hugs Halie while picking her up and swinging her around! I know this won't last long.. so I better enjoy these sweet things while they last!

#1 Who needs to spend $10 or even $1 on a kite when you have a Walmart bag and string in your hall closet!... Leave it up to Jeff to think quick last week... the kids wanted to fly a kite... he told Micah to make one... Micah asked how... Jeff told him grab a Walmart bag and string... BAM it worked! ... An evening full of fun=Cost $0

#2 MY SISTER IS HAVING HER BABY THIS WEEK!

Finally after 9 plus months Megan will be induced this week... a week after her due date! Poor girl! She is a trooper! We are so excited to go up there and meet this little girl! I am really excited to be in the delivery room! MICAH SAID THE CUTEST PRAYER LAST NIGHT ABOUT MEGAN: PLEASE BLESS THAT WE WON'T GET IN A CRASH ON THE WAY TO AUNT MEGAN'S and PLEASE BLESS THAT HER BABY WILL REALLY COME OUT THIS TIME!

Micah and Halie have been anxiously awaiting her arrival and we told him it would be when he started Kindergarten... well a month later she is still not here and they are guessing it might just be a watermelon!... Lets hope not... or it will be the bet dressed watermelon in the world!

#3 We had a great weekend with our friends, Matt, Melissa Ella and Gage... And Wayne, Danielle and Avery! We went up to Brianhead overnight and had a blast! It was so much fun!

The kids played good together... We ate... went to Oktoberfest (pretty exciting haha) played some fun card games... laughed and just had fun catching up! I am so mad I didn't take pix and even more mad they don't live in St. George anymore!

#4 Micah started soccer. Jeff is the coach... We have only had one game... I forgot how fun it is to be so busy! Haha

#5 I think Halie wants to be a POLYGAMIST.... Notice in the lovely kite pictures she loves to wear pants/capris... maybe even a skirt or two underneath her dresses! I should take pictures of her everyday... the combinations she comes up with... WOW! I get her dressed... we run our errands and the minute we get home she is in her room changing! Right now she has changed into some dress from 1912... striped leggings... jean shorts and black high heals! OH BOY... We cannot go pick Micah up from school like this!

Halie has been so funny latley I have to share this story.

So we are strolling along at TJ MAXX... a typical day.. Micah was at school so we had some girl browsing time. I have convinced my kids that when they see something they like that they can get it for their birthdays (knowing they will forget by their birthdays that they wanted it). So they see something and then I say "maybe for your birthday!"

Back to the cute story...

Halie pointed to a doll... and said "I want one of those for my burfday..."
and continued saying it with every toy she saw.

THEN WE WALKED PASSED THE LITTLE GIRL UNDERWEAR... and SOON PAST THE LITTLE TRAINING BRAS... and ...

Halie said (of course) "I want one of those for my burfday"
IN WHICH I REPLY: A BRA!!!!!??????
And Halie says (like it's not big deal): YES FOR MY CHESS!!!

Where does she come up with this? And is she two or is she twelve? Oh boy! Jeff is already preparing for this girl to be a teenager!

I remember Micah doing funny things like this... but can't rememeber exactly what so I am trying to record the really funny things! I was laughing for hours!

You know when your kids have substituted flavors for colors they have had way to many popsicles or soda?!? Time for summer to be over! We are ready to welcome Fall!

Yes Halie, my eyes are rootbeer... but most people call it brown!

FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN!

and this is how our conversation went all morning before his first official day of Kindergarten!

(Yesterday they had a little orientation where I got to go with him and learn all the rules...
sign up to help etc.)

He wakes up and the first words out of his mouth are:

Micah: Mom, I don't think I want to go to kindergarten today...

Me: Oh sure you do it will be so fun!

Micah: Well...If I am getting a drink at the drinking fountain, can I only take 5 drinks, or can I take as many as I want if no one is in line.

Me: Just drink for 5 seconds and you will be fine.

Micah: Well... do you think I have to go to the library today, why can't I just go to the library when I get a little older cause...

Me: You won't go to the library today honey..

Micah: Well... when I go to school, can you just stay in the parking lot the whole time and wait for me.

Me: It's just like preschool, I will drop you off and then pick you up when its done.
Micah: But... ahmm how will I know when school is done?

Me: Your teacher will tell you, don't worry you will have so much fun!

Micah: How do you know it will be fun?

Me: Cause I just know, Moms just know!

Micah: Well can you just stay with me till I get a little warmed up, cause I am just a little nervous!
Me: Yes Micah..

A few minute before we leave....

Micah: I think I might try to just walk in all by myself!

And he did! He walked in with no tears! Thank goodness for his little friend Maycee Leavitt. I am so glad they are in the same class and that he has a little friend, it makes me feel better about leaving him! (I know I am horrible I always worry!)

And he broke his little sisters heart!! Poor little Halie. Beyond devastated! She kept saying I want to go to kind-o-garden....I miss Micah....Miss Tobler is my teach-o! It was so sad!He survived! And had a great time!

Our First Trip to Disneyland!

Disneyland was great after we figured out which rides Micah would go on! He was scared of any ride that went in a tunnel ... bldg... etc.! So pretty much EVERY ride is in a tunnel or bldg? Except for Dumbo... tea cups and the carosel! So that was where we spent most of our time! It was fun .. Halie loved it all... even the scary rides! So here are some pics! I tried to enjoy our time and not stress about pix ... which is difficult for me... but I did get a few!

Summer... Loving it... not wanting it to end! Life will be changing soon with school starting for Micah. This weekend while my hair was in foils I got a call from my friend saying American Eagle needed my kids for the Back to School Fashion show at the mall! I hurried got my hair finished... still wet I ran to the mall where I met Tennille with my kids who hadn't bathed yet that day! We threw them together and sent them on stage. Later that night we had smore's outside and let the kids play in the tent! Life is good!
