Summer Fun 2013

It's always fun to look back and see all the fun things we did in the summer time!  I'm always a bit sad that the freedom and excitement of summer is over, but it's nice to be back to a routine around here!  Here's all the fun things we did this summer in a nutshell!

Halie and Gymnastics

This week...

Halie looked like a doll for church and wanted me to take a picture of her!  She hates her picture taken so this was a shocker!

It rained on and off all week!.. Love the wet green grass!

Micah helps halie every morning!  This day he helped her park her bike! He's the best big brother!

I made a little memorization station!  Halies working on site words.. Micah is working on times tables!

We were So excited to see Travis on his first day of kindergarten!  So fun to have a cousin at our school!

We sunk to a new low.. Bringing the iPad In the car!  Brock is addicted!  It's either the binky or the iPad.  I'm trying to decide which one to get rid of?  They are the only 2 things that keep him quiet:)

Most the week I woke up to this... And Jeff was upstairs sleeping on Micah's floor because Micah keeps having nightmares!

Bought Brock a scooter!  He's picking up quite fast!

It started raining 5 minutes after we got there!

Hi tailed it out of enterprise.. Stopped in veyo and got a pie and a cannoli!  Brock refused to share!

Ended the week by laying with Brock on Sunday night till he fell asleep!  

First Day {4th & 1st}

First day of school was a success!  It was so nice to just walk them down the street!  Micah was eager to get to school, Halie got a bit teary, but by the end of the day she was a happy as could be!  Brock and I are going to have a lot of free time!  After school we hurried and got ready for our 5th Annual Rootbeer Float Party!  It was a blast!  Lots of new people to share the tradition with!  

Mary Poppins

 Love going to tuachan every year!  We've been looking forward to Mary Poppins since they announced it last year!  We thought we'd better go while the kids were still on summer break!  So I called Friday morning and got tickets and uncle Matt watched Brock so we could go!  The show was darling!  The little boy that played Michael was too cute! Halie didn't last the whole show.  She never has, but she liked what she saw!  It was a fun evening!

Lagoon {2013}

Because the beaver trip, trip to Vegas and California, and Mary Poppins wasn't enough in a week, jeff and I decided why not spoil our kids a little more and take them to lagoon.  What were we thinking.  We weren't!  So we headed up the the Reynolds for a late night slumber party.  This little boy was a nightmare.., but their new basement was just lovely to stay in!

Brock was mad at the end of every ride.  Didn't want to get off, and cried when he couldn't go on the big roller coaster (like ballistically crying till the big kids were off the rides). He's a party animal!

Lagoon was so fun we got to ride so many rides! My kids voted it better than Disneyland!  I had never been but was quite impressed myself!!

Halie definitely ready for first grade!  Glad we took advantage of every last minute of summer!  Now off to School kids!;)
