Best week of their SUMMER

It would be easier to list what they didn't do than the million things these three spoiled children got to do while at their grandparents for a week! I'm not sure where my parents get their energy but my kids couldn't have had a better time!  THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU MOM AND DAD YOU'RE THE BEST!  

Headed to grandmas after gymnastics camp! Quick stop at Walmart fos new beach towels, new dolls for the girls, and pool toys!  Spoiling began moment one! Stopped at McDonalds.. Got there checked out the pool.. And got ice cream!

So many fun walks gathering pinecones, looking at turtles,eating yummy food at canyon crest!

Micah turned 9 while he was there! Got to pick out his own cake, frost it, and spend his birthday money!?

Micah turns 9

Micah you turned 9 today and its the first birthday I haven't been with you. You are at your grandma and grandpas in California having the time of your life.  As I lay here in bed and think about you, so many thoughts run through my head.  You are half way to becoming a missionary, you are 3 years away from having the priesthood.  I'm not quite sure how you've grown so fast but I am sure proud of the boy you have become!  You absolutely love church.  It's the one thing I don't fight you on doing.  You are like a sponge.  Dad and you tease me that you know more scripture stories than I do, and it's true!  You are a great big brother!  You are always protecting your brother and sister and truley care / worry (a little too much sometimes) about them!  You have made lots of new friends in our new neighborhood  and everyone loves you!  I'm so grateful to have you as my oldest son!  You're my favorite 9 year old in the whole world!  Happy Birthday Micah Moo!

Fathers Day 2013

First Fathers Day in our new house, first Father's Day in a long time that Jeff hasnt been stuck at church in meetings!  We are sure glad to have him home a lot more!  He loves his kids and we love him!

We had the whole family (minus Marc's fam and dad) in town for Father's Day this year!  It was fun bbqing at our house, then going to Matt's for a nice long walk! It also happened to be my bday.  What a party with everyone here!  Wouldn't want to spend it with anyone else!

These kids won't take no for an answer.  I had lemonade but no cups, told them we'd do it another day... but they knocked on doors till someone gave them cups. They made $8!  Thank goodness for nice construction workers! 0

Sometimes...

It's hard to make it all the way down the stairs in the middle of the night to sleep with mom and dad, so you sleep at the top of the stairs instead.

Couches...

After a month of sitting on the floor our couches finally arrived.  The rug will be here in a few days, and my mom and sister are coming to help decorate!  Yay!  It's finally feeling like a home!

We moved, and then moved him into a big boy bed at the same time.  He does pretty good, but a few times we've found him dead asleep at the top of the stairs.  Don't mind that he sleeps up there... But it would be awful if he fell down the stairs asleep.  What do you do?It's a

Reynolds visit

The Reynolds came to visit!  We had fun swimming at their hotel with the Otts (forgot to take a picture that day) and then again the next day!

 Enjoyed lots of yummy food, and good conversations!  Love good friends!

{Scottsdale day:3} Late Night

Another fun day at the pool!  Played with friends, then that evening Jeff and I had a dinner, Tatum Suman the cutest girl watched our kids in our hotel room.  Then theyhad a dessert banquet, we went and grabbed our kids and took them down to the deck. It was a bit late but it was so fun!  The kids got to make s'mores out on

The deck that looked over the lake, Micah spotted a turtle in the lake... And sure enough there one was and it was awesome! Jeff and Micah both tried making a shot with the golf ball into the boat below.  They didnt quite make it but it was sure fun watching everyone try.  One thing I will remember about this trip/ conference was at the closing dinner, the founders of the Leavitt Group, Dixie and Ann Leavitt spoke.  She told a few stories involving how we react to certain situations, and how it can make all

The difference in our lives.  How true is this.  Just today I accidentally locked the door to the car before halie got out.  She panicked and started crying.  Typically I would have told her to knock it off, it's not like she couldn't get out.  But instead I paused and thought, it probably really scared her.  So instead of getting upset that she was crying over me locking the door so quickly I said, Sorry Halie, that must have been really scary I didn't mean to lock you in the car, I thought you had gotten out already.  I gave her a hug and she stopped crying immediately. I know if I would have chosen a different response she would have cried the entire time at the store. Sometimes it's easy to get so short tempered with my kids.  I'm grateful for that small bit of advice that I took from the conference dinner this year!  It's refreshing to have my husband work for a company with the same values as us.  I felt as if we were at a testimony meeting.
