Fun Weekend!

So fun to have my sister and Ruthie come down this weekend to help get ready for the move. Somehow it turned into shopping ... getting a babysitter while the boys went to fayhers and sons and then a girls night! We did accomplish a lot in the garage! It was fun! Love my sister! She's the best! And ruthie cracks me up!! She was so sad to leave Halie! Those two are so cute together! I always remind myself when I get sad that Halie doesn't have a sister that atleast she will always have Ruthie!

Bittersweet

Along with the move cOmes lots of change. One being Jeff getting released from his calling as 1st counselor in our bishopric at church. I thought I would be thrilled on Sunday when he was released but I was actually quite sad. I don't know why, I'm sure when this Sunday comes and he is around to help I'll be happy. But we were both in tears as they called the new counselor. Jeff bore his testimony and did such a nice job. This has been the ward and the people who have raised and taught our children the gospel, where they gave their first talks in primary, shared their first testimonies and did their many programs. We will miss our friends in our ward and the good people that we spent every Sunday with for 8 years!

Things I will miss!

One week from now we will be in our new house. We are excited but sad all at the same time. There are so many things I will miss about this house! I love looking out my back window to this little playhouse especially this time of year when the vines are in full bloom! I remember when Santa brought this for the kids and how excited they were! (although Micah said "I kind of wanted a playhouse with bedrooms"). There were years of fun in this little playhouse! I'll miss it and our backyard!

Stucco:)

After a long day of deliberation the stucco is getting spread on. My brother Matt is the best! He came out to the house and talked to the guys in spanish and had them do a sample in the front so I could see the soffit color against the house color with the brick. And then my brother drove by and took a picture tonight and sent it to me! He's the best. Here's a peek at it! Needless to set I'll be taking them all pizza tomorrow!

2 year old brock-e

How does this happen. You give birth to them and the next day they turn 2 years old I swear! I can picture him as a newborn and me sitting right on this same couch snuggling him and telling jeff to clean up the kitchen cause I didn't want to put him down! I soaked up every second of him being a newborn and I feel like I'm soaking up every bit of him still! I think since he might be our last I've tried to cherish all these fun stages! So here he is 2 years old! We are celebrating this weekend when my parents come. But in the meantime, on his actual birthday I took him on a special date to target to pick out his first present. Which at first was going to be a pink shopping cart. The only thing that was cooler was the infamous popper which he insisted on popping all the way through target, into Judd's for dinner and throughout our house the rest of the night! I couldn't say no! Look at that cute face!! Then today we picked up delicious sugar cookies and had a tiny party at chick fil a with the cousins. He was spoiled and then spoiled some more when we opened gifts he got in the mail!

Fireplace:)

It was a bit of a fight but when it was all said and done it turned out ok! The fireplace is done! Yay! Can you picture the bookshelves next to them? Well keep picturing cause they aren't happening yet... But eventually:(

House this week!

Poured the last bit of cement...the front steps and porch. Both granite and quartz have been installed, mud room built ins are done. We are getting close! Don't mind the bags under my eyes, and my homeless wardrobe, I haven't slept in weeks! Can't wait to be done making decisions and stressing!

Prayers

Brock is seriously the sweetest boy. If you give him something he'll say THANKYOU, in the morning before Micah leaves for school he'll be the first one to fold his arms and remind us to pray. It didn't surprise me while watching conference he folded his arms everytime someone got up to speak. I sent my mom the picture, and she said "oh what we can learn from little children." She's so right! Brock is such a sweet reminder of heaven to us!

Too{th} Cute!

This is Halies friend Halle! They are in the same class and have been little buddies since day 1 of school! Ironically they both lost their first tooth on the same day! I had to snap a picture of them! Look at those cute smiles!!

Halie Lost Her first tooth TODAY!

Funniest story! Halie's tooth has been
hanging on by a thread for the last few days! She won't eat, talk, or do anything in fear of it falling out! Well lastnight jeff and I were up all night with Brock, he was sick and throwing up literally every half hour! Halie came into our room at some point, then at some point while we were cleaning up throw up her tooth must have fell out and Instead of telling us she just slipped it under my pillow. The kids had to be to the dentist at 8 am. She refused to brush her teeth, i figured because her tooth was so Wiggly! Jeff called half way to the dentist and said check under the pillow! That little sneaky thing! She didn't even tell us her tooth fell out in the night! She texted me a picture from the car of her missing tooth... I didn't notice while getting her dressed for the dentist. But somehow by the time she got home from the dentist the tooth fairy had come and left a sparkly dollar bill!! She is pretty excited:)

Brick and Driveway!

Went out to the house... The brick is coming along and they were grouting it! Can't wait to see when it's all dry:). The driveway was finished too! Yay!

April 5th and...

We've got lots of stuff going on! Lots of concrete including our driveway and basketball court have/are being poured. Moldings, closet shelves and window casings are being installed and brick has arrived and is being put up!! It's coming together:)

What happens...

When all your countertops are delivered and they are wrong??? Wrong color, wrong size wrong everything??? You drive to Vegas to see and order it in person the next day!!! Thank goodness Whitney met me... Granite/quartz comes in so many different colors etc. After two stops we finally found the perfect one!! You'll have to wait to see it installed!! So lucky to have sister in laws that I love! I literally called Whitney when I was almost to Vegas and she threw some clothes on and came and met me! And her new haircut is darling!

Daily changes!!

So much is going on out at the house everyday! I promise I am going to be a fun awesome mom when this house is done! Poor Brock has been my little tag along buddy on every single choice showroom, installment etc. He is friends with our builder... gives all the subs "knuckles" and brightens everyone day! Today I was out at the house at 7:30 for the first day of concrete. Our back patio was poured! Our brick finally arrived, they are almost finished with the stone, cabinets are still being installed. Doors arrived! So many fun things! Enjoy the pics.
