Quick trip to Vegas

Jeff had to go to a training in Vegas, so last minute (literally) I decided to go!  I picked the kids up from school early and we hoped in the car with jeff and headed down!  It was so fun to see Micah and Whitney and all their new things!  They just got a new car, a new babies room, decked to the hilt, and Micah just got and interview to NA (?) school!  So excited for them!

We had to do a little shopping!

It was a fun quick trip!  Wish they lived closer, but glad they live close enough for a day trip!

Football game!

We went to the pine view/Desert hills football game on Friday night and had so much fun with Matt and Becky!  The kids were being so cute I had to take some pics!

Halie in her new boots!

Halie watched the cheerleaders with great intent!  Here she was showing Brock them.  They stood like this for 5 minutes.  Brock loves halie!

Heaven right here...

Brock got this firehouse for his birthday 6 months ago and it's been in the garage ever since!  We finally organized the garage this weekend and decided to put this sucker together and I can't believe we've waited this long!! Brock was in HEAVEN!  Each piece we got out was like Christmas morning!  The motorcycle being his favorite!  He grabbed it from me and started "vrooming" it all over the floor!  Micah and jeff worked hard putting the 28 piece thing together!  Jeff always loves to do that ;). Micah said "I'm sure you're glad to have a son right now to help you huh dad". Micah is such a huge help lately!

They would have played for hours!

Brock kept pretending to sit on the toilet to go the the bathroom, then he'd tell me "ill flush toilet mom" and he'd pretend to flush it!  It reminded me when Micah was little at my parents and tried to sit on a doll house chair!  He'd sit this little chair down, the keep backing up to sit down and was so mad he didn't fit!

This firehouse is going to be so fun!

Nursery

This boy right here has made milestones in nursery the last couple weeks!  He has gone from crying every week and wearing a diaper to going in happily,(actually reached for the teacher this week!). AND is fully potty trained and wears underwear to church with no accidents!! He is getting big and I'm not sure i like it, but it's nice to not being changing diapers!  I peeked in to nursery today and saw him climb up on the chair to get ready for singing time.  He looked so big!

This is the funnest age!! I just want to SQUEEZE HIM!  

He has started talking a lot lately too!  I asked him if he went to the bathroom @ nursery and he said "yes... daddy do it" Jeff had gone in and taken him.  

He asks for a "nana" atleast twice a day ... Favorite fruit by far!

If someone is mean he used to say "Micah mean," now he says "Micah, be nice while crying"

He wants to FaceTime someone all the time and says "face timing" and hands me the phone.

He's a pro @ the I pad and I phone, he loves temple run, editing pictures, and scrolling through the camera roll.  When he finds a picture of himself which is almost every picture he'll show anyone near the phone and say things like "Brock-e funny" or just shove the phone in your face till you make a comment!

Brock has a girlfriend at target who gives him free popcorn every time we go!  She's probably 60 and he makes her day!  We walk in and he says "popcorn.. Friend here". So we have to check!  She's adorable!

He insists Micah reads him a bedtime story but if Micah can't, he'll let me or jeff.  He repeats every word in the book as you read it.

He stands on the front steps every morning and waves good bye to the kids till they are all the way out of sight and THEN says, "bye Micah, bye halie, see ya later". 

He loves motorcycles and trucks and just started playing with them where he pushes them along the floor and makes action sounds!

He watches leap frog in the car and knows the letter A.  If you ask him what A says he opens his mouth really wide and peeps out the sound "aaa". 

He mixes up his sounds for animals but will say meow and moo till he gets it right.  The other day he saw a horse and I asked him what does the horsey say and he said "gitty up". Pretty cute!

Jeff and I look at him daily and are eating up this stage!  He cracks us up!  It's so fun watching him learn and grow!

Holidays are around the corner!

They're ready!

Potty training is never fun but this boy has been ready for a while... I just wasn't!  But I forced myself last week to start the dreaded task and surprisingly it has been way easier than I planned!  He's only had a few accidents, and is even telling us when he needs to go to the bathroom!  Check that off the list!
