First babysitting job for halie!

Our new neighbors have 9 month old twins! Halie has bravely knocked on their door to ask if she could come "hold" them!  She is on her way right now!  She spent an hour picking the perfect outfit to wear!  This girl is going to be one awesome babysitter!  Watch out villages! She will be available for babysitting in 3 years!! 

Brock's Bday!

Brock's birthday was so fun this year!  This boy has got me wrapped!  He is so much fun, and we have enjoyed all 3 years we have had to love him to pieces!  At 3 he:

Loves Abby (the neighbor girl)

He can count to 20!

He can sing his abcs and recognizes most letters and knows the sounds to a, b, c , d e f g, h, s t and q! 

He loves swig donuts and his friend at target who gives him free popcorn everytime we go!  

We love that he calls the airport the "airplane port"

He loves riding on the razor!

He always wants to wear a hat "like Micah"

His favorite drink is water!

His favorite person is his dad!  But he secretly loves me too!

Brock is a charmer and stops people everywhere we go to ask them "what's your name?"  Like, he literally jumps in front of their cart and stops them!  

He is everyone's favorite!  Even at playgroup... Each mom would quietly tell me how much they just love him!  

This boy has a great purpose!  I can't wait to watch him grow!  Happy Birthday Brock-e-boy!!

MICAH TURNS 10!!

Nothing like having a 10 year old to make you feel old!  Micah's birthday was a success!  We had a blast at his "late night party!  We watched an outdoor movie (goonies). Made  huge paper airplanes out of poster board.., decorated glow in the dark shirts, played night games, ate nachos and cake and way too much candy!!

I've noticed a lot of changes  this year in Micah.  He is a lot More mature and brave!

Micah has braved up and stayed home by himself during gymnastics.. Which he would never do before!  He runs intoa store   and will buy stuff by himself!  He rides his bike to the waterpark with his friends!  It's nice to have a child old enough to stay home and be responsible!  Micah is a great big brother, especially to Brock!  He is always concerned for his safety and they are little buddies!  We are so grateful to have him as our oldest child!  He is a great one to lead the way in our family!

So cute at the library this week!  Brock was concentrating so hard trying to color in the lines!  "I can do it all by myself!"    "Oh I did it!"  He is ready for preschool!

TIME OUT!

This sweet little face had to march his way for the first time right to time out.  Why?  Because his favorite new word is stupid.  And he added mom to that word and realized he could say it when he was being asked to do something he didn't want to listen to... "Brock clean up your toys". "Mom you're stupid!"  Oh boy!  So i took him right to the corner... And he sat there laughing for 3 minutes.  What will I do with him?!  How do I punish this cute face?! 

Balboa Island

While In California for the Leavitt Group Conference we had a few days to hang out with Jeff before he had to work! So on Monday we went to balboa island and I'm so glad we did!!  It was the perfect day.  We got to drive our car onto an auto ferry which was so cool, take the ferry across to balboa.  There we took a harbor cruise along the coast where all these famous people owned or own houses.  The cutest one was Shirley Temples house.  After the harbor cruise we rode the Ferris wheel, the highjump  trampoline, had cheese on a stick along the shore line, topped that off with cotton candy, icees, Balboa Bats, and frozen bananas!  And we finished our day by renting a family bike buggy and riding around the island!  It was a blast!!
